BW Plus Oslo Airport Hotel expanded its self-service offerings for even more convenience

Since the launch of its first kiosk in 2021, BW Plus Oslo Airport has been delighted with the performance of the self-service solution from Convene Hospitality.

When Best Western Plus Oslo Airport first approached Convene in 2021 to learn about the capabilities of our self-service solutions, they were facing a dilemma.

With the hotel catering to travelers worldwide, they aimed to find a way to speed up and simplify the check-in process for their guests. They signed with Convene for a single self-service kiosk in their reception and have enjoyed a close relationship ever since.

Upgrade – expand – extend

Since the launch of its first kiosk in 2021, BW Plus Oslo Airport has been delighted with the performance of the self-service solution from Convene Hospitality. However, they always look for ways to improve efficiency and the customer experience.

In June 2023, they renovated their reception to become sleeker and more modern.

At the same time, they decided to expand their self-service offering by upgrading the existing self-service kiosk, adding a second one, and installing the Convene Payments extension.

During a regular upgrade and maintenance call about the existing kiosk, the General Manager discussed the kiosk’s success and popularity with guests and inquired about installing a second Convene kiosk.

A tailored payment experience for guests

In addition to getting two brand new kiosks, BW was looking for a better way to handle payment through the kiosks. This led to the decision to implement Convene Payments for a seamless payment process.

This expansion ensures a seamless and efficient payment experience for both the hotel and its guests. Convene Payments is based on Adyen, a market-leading omnichannel payment company offering hotels multiple payment methods on a single platform.

This allows Oslo Airport Hotel to easily receive payments for stays and upgrades.
